Wine Tourism
Taking advantage of your stay in Las Bardenas Caves houses, you can enjoy the experience of wine tourism, a free guided visit about one hour duration in Bodegas Marqués de Montecierzo, that are located in Castejon, 5 minutes from Valtierra.
During the visit, you’ll discover the museum and viticultural machinery exhibition, more than 200 years old, barrels cellar, wine fermentation room and finally, you’ll taste four wines in a commented wine tasting.
Navarre also provides a wide range of trujales, which produce oil labeled as Oil Protected designation of Origin from Navarre. The majority of these trujales- also named as “Almazaras”- grow in La Ribera of Navarre. You can enjoy guided visits to learn about the secrets of oil and the elaboration process.
